The Phyloinformatics Lab will be in ICICPE 2023

The Phyloinformatics Lab at the 7th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research on Computer Science, Psychology, and Education (ICICPE’ 2023)

Undergraduate students Hannah Zeru (UNC Charlotte) and Cameron Jones (Eastern Michigan University) are presenting their summer 2023 reserach virtually at the International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research on Computer Science, Psychology, and Education (ICICPE’ 2023), to be hosted in Bali, Indonesia, December 27–29, 2023.

Their work is entitled “Replicating Ford et al.’s Investigation on the Immune Consequences and Antibody Binding Affinity of SARS-CoV-2 Variant XBB.1.5 Using an in silico Approach.” A link to their slide deck and abstract is at the end of this post.

CCI’s REU site (2023)

In the summer of 2023, the CCI’s REU site on “Smart and Secure Future Computing” (NSF #2244424) returned to an in-person program. As part of that program, Hannah Zeru and Cameron Jones joined the Phyloinformatics Lab for a 9-week research experience.
